Business Analyst

As a key member of this dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation.
DAY TO DAY (ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES)
Our Business Analyst serves as a crucial link between a number of our teams, focusing on understanding and analysing business needs to drive product development. By collaborating closely with stakeholders like our engineers, designers, product managers and analytics team, our Business Analyst ensures that solutions effectively address real-world challenges, enhance user experience, and contribute to the overall success of the product.
- Uncover critical customer and business problems by collaborating with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, generate insights, and provide actionable recommendations that drive impactful business decisions.
- Evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement, proposing solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and data peers to develop innovative solutions that address customer needs.
- Assist in the management of project timelines, deliverables, and resources, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Act as the liaison between business units and technical teams, facilitating effective communication and understanding of project goals and outcomes.
- Coordinate and support UAT efforts, ensuring that delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with carriers, merchants, and support teams to ensure that solutions are effectively delivered to our customers and partners.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE
- Proven experience in data analysis and visualisation, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar.
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms, Agile methodologies, and software development life cycles (SDLC).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. You’ll be joining a team of humble, experienced, smart, open, and supportive peers based in Australia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
- Preferred but not required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in the Logistics industry
- Experience at a scaling technology company

- Ensures they always communicate decisions at the right time, to the right people and in the right format (kick-off docs, meetings etc).
- Mentors junior team members through sharing learnings or best practices.
